Any suggestions on what to do from here? I searched this forum and I didn't see anything matching my issue, so I hope I didn't repeat a thread. My guess is this 9.2.2 is an upgrade CD and can't install a full install. I attempted to load my Mac OS 9.2.2 cd on it (20 GB HD), but it tells me that I need a volume destination to copy the OS to and the HD is empty. I have the old 20GB HD that came with my system and I thought about loading Mac OS on it and doing the upgrade that way, then taking it out and putting the 120GB back in so I'm not having to start all over again. If I need to update my system, this update is for Mac OS only, not OS X. Just in case, I thought I'd put this here too. Now I'm not sure if the previous owner did this firmware upgrade, so my question is, how do I check if I'm up to date? After installing Tiger and researching upgrade possibilities, I came across a firmware upgrade that is for my system. I had to purchase Tiger because this had no OS when I got it. I recently bought my PowerMac G4 450Mhz AGP Graphics, 120GB HD, 512MB, ATI Radeon 7000 32MB, DVD-Rom, ZIP online and this is my first Mac.
